Before the development design phase, Advanced Vegetation Management undertakes a preliminary tree assessment to report on existing trees. This includes trees outside the subject property that may be impacted by future development.
A preliminary tree assessment provides arboricultural data to guide the development’s layout, such as species, age, origin, dimensions, health, structure, significance, useful life expectancy and retention value.
As a result, a preliminary tree assessment may accompany building or sub-division plans submitted to the council for approval. Depending on the proposed design, the preliminary tree assessment may satisfy the council’s planning requirements without needing further assessments.

At Advanced Vegetation Management, our preliminary tree assessments are crucial for development planning. They identify tree health, structure and suitability before construction begins.
These assessments help developers make informed decisions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and protecting valuable trees. They also guide site layout, reducing potential conflicts and promoting sustainable, eco-friendly development practices.
